More staff taken on for new car
Nissan Qashqai
The Qashqai is due to go on sale early next year
Hundreds more staff are being taken on by Nissan at its Sunderland plant to build a new car.

Production on the Qashqai is due to start in December with the vehicles expected to go on sale in early February next year.

Nissan is recruiting 200 temporary manufacturing staff, who will start on three-month contracts.

Another 100 manufacturing staff trainees are being taken on, initially on two-year apprenticeships.
