Plastic carrier bags were used to create the Madonna "portrait"

Queen of pop, Madonna, has been used to put a glamorous face on waste material in County Durham.
Davina Robinson, from Framwellgate Moor, created a "portrait" of the star from plastic carrier bags.
She had recently completed a mat-making course, and her novel method of recycling began when she decided to experiment with new materials.
Her creation was then sent to Durham County Council as part of her comments on their waste strategy review.
Ms Robinson said: "Out of daftness, I made a picture or small mat out of plastic carrier bags.
"I cut the bags into strips then hooked them through some hessian. It's a new slant on the old traditional hooky mat.
"I chose to do Madonna's face because it seemed appropriate. She sang about being a Material Girl and I suppose I've made her into a Waste Material Girl."
Councillor Brian Myers, Durham Council's cabinet member for waste management, said: "It's an ingenious use of old plastic bags, and, you never know, it could start a new craze."
