Man in court over cannabis haul

Cannabis plants found in the raid
The plants have an estimated street value of £150,000

A man is to appear in court charged in connection with 200 cannabis plants found at a house in Northumberland.

Police seized the plants, with an estimated street value of £150,000, after raiding the property on Cygnet Close, Ashington, on Friday.

A 34-year-old Vietnamese man was arrested on suspicion of the production of cannabis.

He was expected to appear at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court later.
