Princess meets flooding victims

The Princess Royal has met some of the victims of last year's severe flooding during a visit to Northumberland.

Princess Anne chatted with Morpeth residents whose homes were wrecked when the River Wansbeck burst its banks in September 2008.

The royal also viewed renovation work at the town's Chantry building, an engagement which was postponed last year when the heavy rainfall hit.

She then inspected the gardens at nearby Carlisle Park.
