House death woman named by police

The body of a 39-year-old woman found dead during a fire at a house on South Tyneside has been identified.

Claire Golightly was discovered by emergency services at her house in Richardson Avenue in South Shields on Wednesday evening.

A post-mortem examination failed to establish cause of death and further toxicology tests are being carried out.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death and are investigating the cause of the blaze.
