Up to 90 jobs are under threat in Teesside as a contact centre for Vodafone announces it is restructuring.
Some staff working for Vodafone at Garlands Call Centres in Middlesbrough and Stockton face being moved to other sites or redundancy.
Consultation talks between management and employees affected by the change are taking place.
Chief executive Chey Garland said that all other contracts at the outsource call centre would remain the same.
She said: "It has been decided that the account and service management duties currently performed by Garlands will be distributed to other areas of Vodafone's contact centre estate in 2009.
"We have been informed that the move is no reflection on the quality of work delivered by Garlands' dedicated teams, which continues to be received favourably."
