Rider dies weeks after collision

A motorcyclist who was involved in a crash with a car on Tyneside two weeks ago has died.

Allan Parker, 59, of Wallsend, suffered serious injuries in the collision with a Vauxhall, in the city, on 15 October.

He was being treated in Newcastle's Royal victoria Infirmary where he died on Tuesday, police said.
