Man is charged over cannabis farm

A man has been charged with a drug offence after officers discovered a cannabis farm in Northumberland.

Acting on a tip-off, officers raided a house in Gray Street, in Blyth, on Wednesday where they seized 400 cannabis plants and lighting equipment.

A 39-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and has been charged with cultivating cannabis.

He was due to appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on Thursday afternoon.
