Stabbing victim dies in hospital
A 22-year-old man found stabbed in a Newcastle street has died in hospital, police said.

Paul Gilbert collapsed in Alfred Street, in the Byker area of the city, after being attacked in nearby Welbeck Road on 13 February.

Mr Gilbert, who had been in a critical condition since the stabbing, died in hospital on Thursday.

Two men have already been remanded in custody charged with wounding. Police said they will review the case further.
