Ambulance crashes into car
Traffic was delayed after the junction was closed
An ambulance on a 999 call has collided with a car at a traffic light junction in Newcastle.

Another ambulance was sent to St James' Boulevard, near to the junction with the A186 Westmorland Road, after the crash on Monday afternoon.

The driver of the car refused treatment and the crew were unhurt. A third ambulance had already been dispatched to the original emergency.

The junction was partially blocked, delaying traffic in all directions.
