Trains warning for football fans
North East football fans who travel to matches by train are likely to face delays throughout January.

Engineering work is being carried on weekends between Tyneside and Darlington until the end of the month.

Replacement bus services will be in place, but these are likely to be severely over-subscribed.

Sunderland and Newcastle fans should plan alternative routes or seek another mode of transport, said British Transport Police.
