Man, 31, remanded over stab death

A 31-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering another man found dying in a North Tyneside house.

Christopher Blacklock, 32, was found with serious injuries in Cardonnel Street, Willington Quay, North Shields, on Wednesday night. He died later.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died of head injuries and stab wounds.

David Proctor, of Cardonnel Street, was remanded to appear at Newcastle Crown Court next week when he appeared before the city's magistrates on Friday.
