Police at the scene
Samantha Madgin was stabbed close to her Wallsend home
A 15-year-old girl has appeared in court accused of murdering a young mother stabbed in a Newcastle alleyway.

Samantha Madgin, 18, was attacked near Victoria Avenue and Albert Avenue in Wallsend last Thursday.

Two men, Terry Davidson, 18, of Saint Oswald Avenue, Walker, and David Kerr, 35, of Ferndene Grove, High Heaton, also appeared charged with affray.

All three were remanded in custody to appear before Newcastle Crown Court on 15 August.

The girl cannot be named because of her age.

Flowers and tributes to the mother-of-one have been left close to where she was stabbed.
