Two charged in flat death inquiry
Two people have been charged with murder after a man's body was discovered at a Tyneside flat.

William Ripsher, 56, was found dead at Relton Avenue in Walker on Thursday. A post-mortem examination revealed he died of head and neck injuries.

A youth, aged 17, and a 20-year-old man will face magistrates on Monday.

A 16-year-old girl and a woman, aged 18, also arrested in connection with Mr Ripsher's death, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The girl was questioned on suspicion of murder and the woman on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

They were released to answer bail at the end of September, said police.
