Arrest over teenager stab death
Police at Hallow Drive in Throckley
Police were called to the Throckley flat early on Tuesday
A teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a youth who died of stab wounds on Tyneside.

The 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder after a youth, believed to be aged 15, was found dead in Hallow Drive, Throckley, Newcastle.

He was discovered after Northumbria Police were called to a flat in the area on Tuesday morning.

The death is the second fatal stabbing of a teenager in Newcastle in the past two weeks.

Mark Smith, 16, of St John's Walk, died in Elswick Road on 3 May. A 16-year-old has been charged with his murder.
