Consumer giant creates 130 jobs
Procter & Gamble, Cobalt Business Park
The company moved to the site in 2001
Consumer products giant Procter & Gamble has marked the fifth anniversary of its move to a Tyneside site with the announcement of 130 new jobs.

P&G's Global Business Service Centre has been at Cobalt Business Park, in North Tyneside, since 2001.

It marked the date with a street party for its 700 staff and the news of the 130 new jobs over the next year.

The site provides finance, employee and procurement services for P&G in more than 46 countries.

P&G chief information and global services officer Fillippo Passerini said: "The future is looking very strong and we are increasing our workforce at Cobalt by more than 18% per year, with the new jobs predominantly in our finance group.

"This is a massive vote of confidence in the workforce of Cobalt Park and in the North East."
