Man denies bath abduction charges
A man has denied the rape, kidnap and sexual assault of a six-year-old girl who was taken from her bath.

Peter Ivor Voisey, 34, also known as Peter Smith, of The Thornton Hotel, Renwick Road, Blyth, Northumberland, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court.

He denied one count of raping a child under 13, one count of kidnap and one count of assaulting a girl under 13.

He is accused of taking the girl from her home in North Tyneside on 27 December last year.

A trial date was set for 2 October and Mr Voisey was remanded in custody.
