Special edition bottles of the famous Newcastle Brown Ale featuring soccer legend Alan Shearer have gone on sale across the country.
The beer bottles pay tribute to Alan Shearer's goal scoring
The Newcastle United star, who recently broke the club's goal-scoring record, retires at the end of this season.
To honour his achievements, Scottish and Newcastle have created a limited edition of about 2.5 million bottles featuring his face on the front.
The bottles are on sale in pubs and clubs from Monday.
The label's traditional red and yellow colours has been replaced with the Toon Army's black and white stripes.
On the back of the bottle, a tribute is made to Shearer's scoring feats.
It is the first time in the brew's 79-year history that a celebrity has featured on its packaging.
The brewery has made a donation to Shearer's testimonial charity fund for the right to create the special labels, which it believes will become collector's items.
Chris Jowsey, brewery managing director, said: "Newcastle Brown Ale and Alan Shearer are icons of Geordie culture that inspire a devoted following way beyond their Newcastle homeland.
"We hope football fans everywhere will join us in a celebration of Big Al's incredible playing career."
