TV star Sharon Osbourne was making her stage debut starring in the Vagina Monologues on Tyneside on Monday.
The X-Factor judge was joining a long list of celebrities who have taken part in the show which features funny and moving stories about women's sexuality.
Osbourne, recently voted Britain's favourite celebrity mum, was appearing alongside ex-Emmerdale star Lisa Riley.
They were scheduled to appear in the production at Newcastle's Theatre Royal for a week.
The Vagina Monologues was created by New Yorker Eve Ensler who pieced together stories from 200 women of all ages and backgrounds about their most intimate secrets.
Osbourne was due to take part in the show in the West End last year alongside her daughter Aimee, but they had to pull out due to a cancer scare which Aimee suffered.
A Theatre Royal spokesman said the shows were almost sold-out, and the play will move on to Southampton the following week.
Some of the biggest names to have taken part in The Vagina Monologues around the world include Kate Winslet, Glenn Close, Gillian Anderson, Whoopi Goldberg and former Spice Girl Mel B.
