A 19-year-old man needed 27 stitches in his face after being attacked in a Newcastle nightclub.
The victim was dancing with a group of friends in the Power House in Times Square when he felt blood dripping down his face.
Northumbria Police said the man and his friends did not see who attacked him or any weapons. He was treated at Newcastle General Hospital.
The assault happened in the early hours of 26 June.
