Family affair for Lotto winners
The Harts and Masseys from Hartlepool
Horoscopes predecited the family's win
A Teesside syndicate of four is keeping their Lotto jackpot win "in the family" after scooping £1.25m.

The lucky four, made up of mother Myra Hart, 79, son Bill, 53, daughter Moira Massey, 56, and husband Jimmy, 55, struck it big on the 18 May draw.

They are now planning a family holiday, with a cruise to the Mediterranean.

The Hartlepool family revealed all their horoscopes for Wednesday had predicted they would have good luck and come into some extra money.

It was also on a whim that Myra chose a new line of numbers made up of birthdays and her wedding anniversary rather than having a Lucky Dip.

Making plans

The winning numbers were: 4, 19, 22, 27, 28 and 47.

Moira, who works as a manager at a women's refuge, said: "It's amazing all our horoscopes had said things about luck and money when I read them in the paper on Wednesday.

"I had really thought nothing of it, but to win like this is fantastic especially as my Mum had just changed her numbers when she bought the tickets on Wednesday."

Celebrations started early with tots of whisky all round as the family started making plans on how to spend the money.

As well a Mediterranean cruise, Myra will spend some of her share on a new sofa, while Moira and Bill will be buying a new bathroom suite.

The family has been playing as a syndicate for two years and always buy tickets for each Wednesday and Saturday draw.
