Man dies in driverless car crash
A man has died after he was hit by an unoccupied car that rolled down a road on Tyneside.

Leo Anthony Scurr, of Lawson Terrace, Newcastle, was crossing Atherton Drive in Newcastle when he was hit by the Ford Fiesta on Thursday morning.

The 56-year-old was seriously injured and later died.

Police said it is unclear why the car, which had been parked and left unattended, started moving, and urge any witnesses to contact them.
