Professionals will discuss solutions to anti-social behaviour
Hundreds of experts gathered in Newcastle on Thursday to discuss new ways of stamping out intimidation, harassment and anti-social behaviour.

They were among more than 4,000 gearing up across the country to tackle anti-social behaviour at a new series of Home Office Together Academies.

More than 300 professionals shared their expertise.

These include youth workers, housing officials, neighbourhood wardens, and police community support officers.

Alan Brown, director of the North East Regional Crime Team said: "We have made excellent progress in tackling the scourge of anti-social behaviour in all its guises in the region.

"Today's event is a chance for those who are working on the front line to share their experiences with the Home Office and to support each other."

It is one of 10 similar meetings taking place around the country in March.
