Pupils at a Tyneside school are being given a first-hand insight into Zulu history and culture.
A group of 10 Zulu performers and musicians are visiting Newcastle's Sir Charles Parsons School on Wednesday.
They will hold a series of art, music, drama, language and history workshops to give pupils the chance to explore the history and culture.
They will also perform a concert for pupils, parents and governors wearing traditional dress.
Sir Charles Parsons is a special school for pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties.
Headteacher John Preston said: "This will be a really exciting opportunity for the pupils to experience world music, drama and dance.
"I'm sure they will learn a great deal and we are very much looking forward to welcoming our visitors on Wednesday."
