Jobcentres to open longer hours

Jobcentre Plus has extended the opening hours of some of its offices in the Tees Valley.

Offices in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Stockton, Billingham, Thornaby, Eston and Redcar are taking part in a national trial.

They will be open from 0800 to 1800 GMT, giving customers the chance to make appointments earlier and later in the day.

Other services they offer will also be available during those times.
