One dead and two injured in crash

One person has died and two others have been airlifted to hospital after a crash between a motorcycle and a car on a Teesside road.

The collision happened earlier on Tees Road, Seaton Carew, an Air Ambulance spokeswoman said.

No details of the deceased have been released. A woman in her 30s was flown to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough with serious head injuries.

A second person was taken to hospital with a broken leg and pelvis.
