Sea search woman contacts police

A young woman has contacted police after a large-scale search was sparked by a report of a girl walking into the sea off the Teesside coast.

Lifeboat crews and an RAF helicopter searched the Redcar coastline for several hours earlier.

The search was later cancelled because a member of the public reported seeing the girl walk away from the sea.

Cleveland Police said a woman had contacted them and there was no concern for her welfare.
