Slip road closed during roadworks

A slip road on a major route on Teesside has closed for four months.

The closure is due to ongoing work to widen the A66 between the A19 and the Newport Interchange in Middlesbrough.

To allow for the construction of a new link road from Newport Roundabout into Riverside Park, the slip road onto the A66 eastbound will close from Sunday.

Diversions will be via Newport Road and the Hartington Interchange. Middlesbrough Council has apologised to drivers for the inconvenience.
