Help needed to honour war victims

Residents in a County Durham town have been invited to contribute their war-time memorabilia to a remembrance wall.

The World War I wall, in Darlington's Crown Street library, is commemorating the 90th anniversary of the signing of the 1918 armistice, on 11 November.

Anyone with medals or photographs telling the story of their family's experiences during the war are being asked to contribute.

Items can be scanned or photocopied and given straight back to their owner.
