Punch attack victim has surgery

A man has undergone a number of operations on his face following an attack on a Teesside street.

The victim was punched in the face after being approached by a group of men in Newport Road, close to the Arena nightclub, in Middlesbrough.

Police said the man, aged in his 20s, suffered serious facial injuries and still remains in hospital weeks after the attack on 21 September.
