Boy, four, bitten on face by dog

A four-year-old boy has been treated in hospital for what police have described as a "serious" bite to the face by a dog in a town on Teesside.

The incident happened on Westgate Road in Guisborough on Saturday.

Police said they want help in identifying and tracing the dog's owner who fled the scene.

The dog is described as black and white but the breed remains unknown. Anyone with information is asked to contact Redcar police.
