Student killed in campus plunge
Teesside University
The university caters for more than 9,700 full-time students
Police on Teesside are investigating the death of a student, who apparently fell from the 10th floor window of a university building.

Details of the dead male have not been released by Cleveland Police, who were called to Teesside University's Middlesbrough complex on Tuesday.

A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said there were no immediate suspicious circumstances, but an investigation was being carried out.

A university spokesman said the student fell from the main tower of the campus teaching block, which was not in use at the time.

The university caters for more than 9,700 full-time students.
