Baby girl's body found in woods
The body of a baby girl has been found in woodland in Redcar, Teesside.

Police were called to an area near Kirkleatham Lane, Kirkleatham, after teenagers made the discovery on Wednesday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination revealed the baby was born prematurely and officers say she may have been left in the woodland in the last few days.

They are "extremely concerned" for the welfare of the mother, who may need urgent medical attention.

A Cleveland Police spokesman urged the woman or her family to come forward saying all information would be treated sensitively.
