Two teenagers have been charged with attempted murder and violent disorder following the stabbing of two students on a university campus.
The men, in their early 20s, were attacked in Middlesbrough's Linthorpe Road, near the university library.
The youths, aged 17 and 18, both from Middlesbrough, appeared before Teesside magistrates and were remanded in custody until 1 June.
Police also arrested a 15-year-old girl who has since been released on bail.
The incident, on Wednesday night, happened only hours after the launch of a national knife amnesty.
