Shoppers on Teesside are being given the chance to become an official lord or lady.
The genuine titles of Lord and Lady of Teesside are up for grabs in a competition being run by Hill Street Shopping Centre in Middlesbrough.
It is part of a medieval Easter entertainment weekend and entry forms are inside the centre's magazine being delivered to 65,000 homes in the town.
The title also comes with a coat of arms which can be used on letterheads.
Centre Manager Peter Drabble said: "It is a legal title, a seated title, which forms part of your estate. It is inheritable and can be sold.
"We hope the winner will utilise it and see people's opinion change, for example, when they book a table in a restaurant under the names of Lord and Lady of Teesside - we would expect them to get exceptional service and all the trimmings."
