Arrest after shooting of pet dogs
A man has been arrested following two shotgun incidents on Teesside late on Sunday evening.

During the first attack, a shotgun was fired through a window of a house in Lingdale High Street, Redcar, though nobody was home.

Then the occupant's two pet dogs were shot dead in their enclosure at an allotment nearby.

Police are questioning a 43-year-old Guisborough man, and ask anyone with information to contact them.

Det Sgt John Green said: "Although we are pleased to have made an arrest we are still intent on locating the firearm used in these incidents.

"I am aware that Lingdale is a close-knit community and feel sure there are people who could assist us in locating the weapon and identifying those responsible for its use.

"I would urge those to come forward and speak to us."
