A 72-year-old Teesside man has died following an accident with a cyclist who rode off before emergency services could get to the scene.
The incident happened at 1530 BST on Monday as Eddie Nixon was riding his 50cc moped along Norton Road, Stockton.
Police said the cyclist came out from Newlands Avenue and collided with Mr Nixon.
Cleveland's Road Policing Unit said a teenager from the Stockton area was being questioned.
Mr Nixon was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees where he later died.
A police spokesman said Mr Nixon's family were devastated at his death, and said he was an experienced rider who lived for his motorcycles.
