Man remanded over teen's murder

A man has appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court charged with the murder of a teenager.

Christopher Cave, 17, was found at a house in Burnmoor Close, Redcar, shortly before 0200 BST on Thursday with several stab wounds to his body.

He was rushed to Middlesbrough General Hospital where he later died.

Sean Anthony Matson, 20, from Langthwaite Walk, Redcar, appeared in court on Friday and was remanded in custody.

He will appear at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, June 12.
