Motorist killed in two-car crash

A 50-year-old driver has died in a collision between two cars in Medway.

The man, who was from the Medway area, died in the crash on Upchat Road, Chattenden, on Friday afternoon.

Two 15-year-old girls, who were passengers in the Nissan 200SX, were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Kent Police said the Vauxhall Astra driver, a 56-year-old man, also from Medway, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash at 1510 GMT.
