Body of missing US woman is found

Jayne Hansen may have been in the UK to mark her father's death

The body of a woman from the US who went missing from a hotel in East Sussex has been found.

Sussex Police said that a body recovered at Beachy Head was that of missing Jayne Hansen.

An alert was raised after the 58-year-old woman, from New York, went missing on 28 August, leaving her belongings in her hotel room in Eastbourne.

Officers previously said her visit to Sussex may have been for the eighth anniversary of her father's death.
