The face of a 16-year-old girl missing from her West Sussex home for 11 years is appearing on millions of milk bottles this month.

Carmel Fenech disappeared from her home in Crawley on 23 May 1998.

She had left school before she disappeared, but had plans to return to college and gain qualifications.

She is the third missing person to be featured on the cartons in a national campaign launched by the charity Missing People and supermarket Iceland.

Her face will be displayed on 800,000 Iceland milk bottles every week.

Her mother, Deirdre Fenech, said: "The charity has been a major source of support ever since my little girl disappeared. This appeal for Carmel is another way to keep the search for her alive."
