The father of a 19-year-old woman whose remains were found in woods near their home has been re-arrested on suspicion of her murder.

Tony Couchman, 45, was questioned by Sussex Police on Thursday and released on bail until 30 March.

The skeletal remains of his daughter Victoria were found in woods near their home in East Sussex on 13 October.

Mr Couchman was first arrested in connection with her death five days after the discovery.

Officers have yet to establish the circumstances of the single mother's death.

Miss Couchman's skeletal remains were uncovered after children playing in Redgeland Wood, in the Queensway area of Hastings, found her skull.

She had lived with her father in St Leonards, about a mile from where her body was found.

Sussex Police believe she went missing some time during May 2008 but that she was not reported as a missing person.

Following the discovery of her remains, her mother Fiona Masters issued a poem which paid tribute to her "beautiful daughter".
