Cannabis plants seized from house

A man has been arrested after police discovered cannabis production at a property in East Sussex.

Two police officers on patrol in New Road, Newhaven reported that the smell of the drug led them to the building.

Sussex Police and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service raided the property and 48 cannabis plants and propagation equipment were seized on Monday.

A 37-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
