The cousin of a man whose death led to two paramedics being suspended from duty said he was a "well-liked and popular" man.
After Barry Baker, 58, died at his home in Braybon Avenue on 29 November the paramedics were suspended on suspicion of neglecting a public duty.
Two South East Coast Ambulance Service staff allegedly made derogatory comments about Mr Baker's home.
Phil Davy said Mr Baker's family would be holding a memorial service.
Inquest adjourned
He added: "Barry Baker was a well-liked and integrated member of our family and popular among his many friends.
"The alleged circumstances of his passing have given us great cause for concern but as the police are still looking into what may or may not have happened, I have no intention of making any comment about these matters at the moment."
Photographs showing boxes, papers and belongings cluttering the house were released on Friday.
It is believed Mr Baker collapsed while on the phone to emergency services on 29 November and the line remained open when the crew arrived.
The two paramedics, aged 35 and 44, both male and from Brighton, were bailed after being questioned by Sussex Police on 5 December.
Brighton-based A2b Clearances, which cleared Mr Baker's home just before Christmas, has released pictures of his property that show boxes, papers and belongings scattered across rooms.
An inquest into the death of Mr Baker was opened and adjourned on 17 December.
