The crash damaged the front of the ground floor flat at the property

The fire service was called to shore up the four-storey building in Egremont Place after the Range Rover skidded off the road in the early hours.

She added officers were investigating the circumstances of the crash and contacting the car's registered owner.

The crash caused extensive damage to the ground floor flat at the property.
