Fraud arrests at Gatwick airport

Seven people have been arrested at Gatwick airport on suspicion of booking holidays to Jamaica using "compromised credit cards".

Three men and four women, all from Kent and south east London, were held at the West Sussex airport on Monday.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said they had been bailed until January 2009 pending further investigations.

A further 38 passengers were not allowed to board their scheduled flight at Gatwick Airport.

A 26-year-old woman was also arrested in Aylesford, near Maidstone, in connection with the investigation and bailed pending further inquiries.
