Sailor pulled from harbour named

A Russian sailor whose body was pulled out of a West Sussex harbour has been identified by police.

Alexey Patrikeyev, 31, was the second engineer aboard the ship Independent that arrived at the Port of Shoreham on Saturday, 4 October.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said it was thought that he slipped and fell from the quayside into the water.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out but officers are still awaiting the result.
