Security van raided outside store

Two masked men escaped after stealing thousands of pounds from a security van at gunpoint in East Sussex.

The Securicor cash-in-transit vehicle was parked outside Tesco in Church Road, Hove, at 1114 BST on Saturday when the driver was held at gunpoint.

Sussex Police said the men were black and were wearing masks and carrying bags. One was carrying a gun.

They ran through a nearby building and escaped. Police have not confirmed how much cash was stolen.
