Man, 21, remanded over ear attack

A 21-year-old man has been remanded in custody after a man's ear was severed in a street attack in Sussex.

The 21-year-old victim was attacked in Vancouver Road, in the Durrington area of Worthing, at about 0200 BST on Tuesday.

Andrew Laws, of Mendip Crescent, Worthing, appeared at Worthing Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Mr Laws is next due to appear in court on 4 December.
