A 16-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a teenager who was killed in a car crash during a police pursuit in Brighton.
The youth, from Brighton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted causing death by dangerous driving at Lewes Crown Court.
Matthew Sadler, 16, died and four others were hurt when the car they were in crashed into a wall on 9 February.
The youth also admitted a number of other driving offences.
He is due to be sentenced on 8 September.
An investigation into the cause of the crash was launched by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Three young men and two young women were in the car when it hit a wall in the Whitehawk area of Brighton at 0100 GMT.
Fire crews said at least two people in the car were thrown out of the vehicle because of the "ferocity" of the crash.
